Crooked Lane MPD [OO gauge] is the latest creation from junior member, Daniel Winter. This is all his own work and serves to demonstrate what youngsters can achieve and hopefully it can inspire other youngsters at exhibitions. Here he offers us his blue diesel model of a Motive Power Depot. Daniel first showed this layout at Lydney 2012 and you can see what progress he has made by the time he took it to Ross-on-Wye.

Daniel's inspiration came from an article in Hornby Magazine, tied with a few other depot layouts he had seen. It is set in the North of England on the Scottish border with connections to the east and London and is based near a large station which is where most of the locomotives come from. This means a variety of locomotives and trains can bee seen. All points on the scenic part are electrically operated and the layout can be set up in around 1 hour. It is unfinished but there is only a little left to do.
